hospital bed

The Chicago Bears offensive line has been torn apart the first two weeks of the season. Over the last couple of years they have gelled together. However, during that time they also have become old. The bears did little to adress their o-line during the draft and di absolutely nothing to add any depth through free agency. People want to talk about changing quarterbacks, which might be a great idea, but if we cant protect our quarterback it doesn't matter who is going to be lining up under center.

You're absolutely right. Whether it's Grossman, Griese, or Orton you gotta protect your quarterback or the productive offensive, job won't be completed. Health, very loose term in sports, ironically is not just something, but everything in sports. If you're not healthy, you can't go out and compete. Offensive lineman, to this day, still get overshadowed, although not as much as they used to, by the spectactular permimeter, players which does these players no good without healthy strong, O-line men blocking for them. Good topic (not much of a Bears fan though)
